Free Game for the Month of June

This month, both XBox Live and PlayStation Network have put out really good free games for those part of their respective online subscription plans.

On the XBox One side, SpeedRunners is a competitive coop, 2D platform racing game. Play against your friends and parkour throughout the platforming environment using tools and gadgets to get yourself around the area better and faster than your friends. With its 'cartoony' like graphics and fast pace action, this is a game that can be very entertaining for you and your friends when you want a quick pick up and play gaming session.

On the second half of the month, Watch Dogs will be available for free download on the XBox One. You play as Aiden Piece, Chicago's own home bred cyber vigilante, who must track down those responsible for the death of his niece. Using an array of weaponry and phone applications, you control the city to do what you have to do to track down those criminals and those who must be held responsible.

Assassin's Creed 3 is the first free game available on the 360 for the month of June. Play as Conner, in the American Revolution in the 18th century as he becomes an Assassin to finds the Templars who wiped out his tribe and killed his mother for his land! Parkour through the trees in the woods, wilderness and 18th century agriculture of Boston, New York City and even Philadelphia, as you take down your targets silently … or get bold and kick in the door with your arms at the ready in this installment of the Assassin's Creed storyline.

And finally for the 360, available on the 16th of the month: Pick your race. Pick your class. Pick your backstory! Then jump into the world of Dragon Age: Origins, where you are recruited into the Grey Wardens, an ancient order that fights against evil forces known as Darkspawn. Travel this vast fantasy world where your choices have consequences that will change and shape the fate of the Kingdom of Ferdelden during the 'Blight'. Also, for those subscribed to XBox Live's Gold Membership, they have released for free, Multiplayer DLC content for the cult classic, Phantom Dust that is going to be ported over to the newer generation of Microsoft consoles from the original version of the game on the Original XBox.

For the PlayStation Network, 2 games for the PS4 are available. The Killing Floor 2, is a cooperative, zombie killing, first person shooter where everyone has to work together to survive waves after wave of Zeds ( zombies ) trying to feast on your entrails until the big boss comes for a crack at you and your team. And in Life is Strange, you play as Max, a high school photography student, who discovers her ability to rewind time! Which sounds like all fun and games until you introduce butterfly effects and other grave consequences. And … oh yeah, you have to save the town some ominous destruction in the next few days based on your choices or else everyone is done for. No pressure …

For the PS3 this month is Abyss Odyssey, a platform action adventure game where you have to stop a warlock whose dreams are messing up with the reality in 19th century Chile, and WRC 5: World Rally Championship, where you rally race through 400 km of stages to become the #1 Rally Racer.

And finally are 2 games for the PS Vita, Neon Chrome and Sky Chameleon ( both available for cross buy on the PS4 ). Neon Chrome is a top down neon shooter with procedural levels so each experience is different. You use a large array of cybernetic weapons and abilities to survive each level to stop the all-powerful OverSeer. Spy Chameleon is a puzzle game in an arcade style type gameplay, where the player has to avoid detection using chameleon abilities to change its color and camouflage in the 5 missions and 75 level to complete these super secret missions.
