Review for BulletStorm

There is no way to play BulletStorm wrong. It's a game in which the point is very hard to miss.

Yeah you cam run through its 9 - 10 hour campaign decently easily depending on what difficulty you play on and with your standard military assault rifle, you will blast through the game's many punk mutants and blood thirsty soldiers. As your typical first person shooting gallery, BulletStorm holds its own with many rich moments of scripted `Holy Shit` moments and solid base mechanics that just feels right. So if you want to dash from fire fight to fire fight mindlessly unloading clips at anything that moves, go for it! You'll have the time of your life!

But playing Bulletstorm like a standard shooter would be a disservice towards yourself and the fastest way to miss the point. If every kill doesn't feel like an entirely new blood soaked experience of killing then you are doing it wrong because beneath BulletStorm's potty mouth, blood drenched exterior, gamers will enjoy being the ultimate solider and Epic Games has delivered a remarkably sophisticated and original shooter.

First person shooter 101: you get guns and you shoot guns at any moving target. You also have a melee attack so if you get close enough you can hit your targets and they'll fall over. To be fair, to this day 25 years after they shipped Wolfenstien 3D, those basics are still fun but right off the bat BulletStorm expands its vocabulary with 3 expressions: an electric leash, a slide and one of the biggest boots in first person gaming.

By simply adding these 3 element, BulletStorm offers up more variety than most first person shooters bother to even try to provide. Using the electric whip, you pull enemies toward you in slow motion slamming them to the ground, causing area damage sending enemies and objects towards the sky. Your boot, a close lunge melee attack, sends enemies or targets flying backwards through the air. And with the simple double tap of a button, you briskly slide across the ground, nailing an enemy while doing so, will trip them up easily ending them.

In my opinion ill say this is the best 45$ I've ever spent at the time so it'll be a great buy now. I love the many creative ways to dispose of your enemies which also adds a few extra hours to playing time. Trying to find all the ways to kill is fun and entertaining for you and all your dumb little buddies. If you love gore and humor then you'll love BulletStorm. This is a 'must own' game. Its worth your money.
