Okay, this game, from what I understand had a lot of hype when it first came out. Talk of a first person open-ended survival horror game sparked everyone's interest and anticipation for this game and from my point of view, they almost delivered.

The game starts out in a hotel room (regardless of which of the main four characters you pick) and all hell breaks loss pretty quick, leaving you to survive using random items through the level. The game kind of repeats this process for about 30 hours, however. The games adds an element of modifying your weapons with miscellaneous items you come across to create greater weapons to defeat the hordes of zombies that you encounter throughout the game but the game's mechanics don't allow for anything outrageous unless you come across one of those infamous hacked items but if you want to go through the game like an OG then you forgo such easy tactics. The game's "jump at you from unsuspected corners" and it's seemingly endless hordes of zombies keep you on your toes in single player as you make your way across the fictional island of Banoi solving the strange problems of the residents of the island. Depending on how you manage your weapons will result in whether you survive or not. But the online session can be fun, especially if your partners are friends with a headset. The horror is eased when you know that someone has your back during the experience. With that being said, the story line is easily forgettable and doesn't grab you in. Even the end leaves you feeling very unsatisfied. So my verdict on this game would be that it is a rent. Even a borrow. But if you spent 60$ on this game on release or even 30$ then you'll feel like the game was sadly overpriced with their promises that all came up a little short.
